Wearing: DIY Peacock Costume
I've had the idea for this peacock skirt for a long time, but I decided to make an entire dress instead of a skirt. One of my friends was nice enough to take pictures for me before we went to a costume party on Friday. I tried doing a green-blue smokey eye, but it looks really blue in all of the pictures for some reason. It was a little too dark for anyone to be able to discern what my costume was, but it's all good.
Even though I already have this peacock costume-ish/dress, I eventually want to make a more finished version of the skirt (which happens to be a black tutu with feathers). While I was making this costume I realized how much I like working with peacock feathers, so I'm going to attempt a few more peacock projects. Hopefully I won't go overboard with the feathers!
I wonder if this "costume" could pass for a regular dress... what do you think?
